Standard Refractories

You can find us in the Gaya Building at 109 Yusuf Meherali Road. Being in Masjid Bandar means we are right in the thick of the city's madness. The traffic outside is almost constant, and the sounds of horns and people shouting are just part of the background noise for us now. We are on the second floor at number 2/8. It is an old building with a lot of character, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying anything heavy. We deal with refractories, which means a lot of heavy, heat-resistant materials that aren't easy to move around. Getting stuff in and out of this area is always a challenge because the roads are so narrow and always blocked by carts or trucks. Our space is filled with samples and piles of paperwork that seem to grow every week. We don’t have fancy office furniture; most of it is old wooden desks that have been here as long as the business itself. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to the transporters about when the next load is actually going to arrive. It is a hectic way to work, but we are used to the pace of Masjid Bandar by now. Sometimes we have to step out onto the balcony just to get a bit of air, even if it is just more city noise. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders.
