St. Marys School sits on Sardar Balwant Singh Dhody Marg in Mazagaon. It’s an old part of Mumbai, and you can tell by the way the roads are laid out around here. The school building has that old look to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that help keep things a little cooler when the sun is out. It’s a busy street outside, but once you walk through the main entrance, it feels a lot different. We have the ICSE curriculum here, which keeps the students pretty busy with their books and projects. The playground isn't the biggest, but the kids make it work for cricket and football during their lunch hour. You’ll see parents waiting outside the gates in the afternoon, chatting while they wait for the bell. It’s a bit of a landmark in Mazagaon. We don't have anything overly modern or flashy; it’s just a place for learning. The wooden stairs inside make a bit of noise when everyone is moving at once. We’ve got a hall for assemblies and some labs that have been there for a long time. Everything is kept tidy, though with hundreds of kids running around, there is always something that needs fixing. It’s just how it is. People in the neighborhood know us well, and many families have been sending their kids here for generations. It’s a steady sort of place on a steady sort of street.
