Spenzs Bags

We are located over in Andheri, right where Sampige Road and Coconut Avenue Road meet. It’s a bit confusing because the address lists both roads twice, but once you find 113/114, you’ll see us. Spenzs Bags is a busy little place. Andheri is always moving, and we try to keep up with that pace. We have bags piled up in the corners and rolls of fabric leaning against the walls. It’s not the most organized shop you’ve ever seen, but we know where everything is. The machines are old and they make a lot of noise, but they still work better than the new ones we tried once. We spend our days cutting, pinning, and sewing. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and someone has to run out to the market to get more. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy website. Most people find out about us because they walked past the shop on Coconut Avenue Road and saw us working. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep our energy up. The workspace is a bit tight, especially when we get a large shipment of zippers or handles. We just try to do a decent job on every bag that goes out the door. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, but there’s something nice about seeing a pile of finished bags at the end of a long Tuesday.
