Speedway Travels

Speedway Travels is located at number 8 in the Kazi Pura Building, which is right by Mumbai Central. We are directly opposite the Star Up Restaurant, so we usually know what is for lunch just by the smell drifting across the street. Being so close to the station means there is always a crowd outside and people are always in a rush. Our office is a simple place with a few desks and a lot of paper. We spend our time looking at travel routes and trying to book tickets for people who want to go home or take a trip. It is a lot of work on the phone and the computer, especially when the holiday season starts and everyone is looking for a seat. We have been at this Mumbai Central address for years, so we have seen the area change quite a bit. We do not do anything fancy like the big travel websites. We just sit here and talk to the people who walk in. Most of our customers are locals who prefer to deal with a real person instead of a screen. It gets loud with the traffic and the station noise, but it feels like the heart of the city. We just keep our heads down and try to get the bookings done right for whoever comes through the door.
