Our place is out in the TTC Industrial Area in Rabale, specifically at W-401. If you know the MIDC area, you know it’s a lot of factories and sheds. It gets pretty hot and dusty during the summer months, but that’s just how it is working in an industrial zone. We work with machines that do lapping and polishing. It’s noisy work sometimes, and there’s usually a bit of oil or grit around, but we keep things as tidy as we can. The crew here is mostly local guys who take the train or ride their bikes in. We’ve been at this spot for a while. We don't have any fancy reception area or anything. You just walk in and see the machines running. We spend a lot of time looking at surfaces and making sure they are flat. It’s repetitive work, but it needs to be done right. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting around the back or heading to one of the small stalls nearby for tea. We don't really bother with big speeches or anything like that. We just focus on the machines and the orders we have for the week. Sometimes the power goes out in the MIDC, which is a pain, but we manage. It’s a plain, hardworking environment and we’re okay with that. We just do our shift and make sure the equipment stays in good shape for the next day.
