Special Tea House

If you find yourself in Girgaon, you might have walked past us. We are just a small tea house, nothing really special despite the name, it's just what we call it. We open up early because the workers around here need their first cup before the sun is even fully up. The benches are a bit worn down and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the kettle is always boiling. We serve tea in those small glasses that get very hot, so you have to hold them by the rim. There’s usually a bit of noise from the street coming in, and we don't have fancy music playing. It’s just the sound of the stove and people talking about their day. We keep some biscuits in jars on the counter if anyone is hungry. Girgaon is a busy place, and we are just a tiny part of it. We don't have a website or any social media pages to show off. We just show up, light the burner, and start pouring. Sometimes the ginger is stronger one day than the next, depends on what we get from the market that morning. It’s a plain place for a quick break. Most people stay for five minutes and then move on. That’s how we like it, just a steady stream of familiar faces. We try to keep the place tidy but it's hard with the crowd and the steam.
