Our office is up on Ridge Road in Malabar Hill, inside the Spenta building. It’s a quiet enough area, which is a bit different from the busier parts of the city where a lot of the actual production happens. Most of our days are spent on the phone or responding to emails about shipments and supply chains. Since we deal with distilleries and breweries, there’s a lot of coordination involved between the different sites. We aren't out there making the drinks ourselves in this office; we’re the ones making sure the paperwork is filed and the logistics are sorted out. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at spreadsheets. The view outside is nice, but we’re usually too busy to notice it much. We have a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s filing or taking messages. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps the business running. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we take the stairs if we’re in a rush. We try to stay organized, but with so many moving parts in the beverage industry, things can get messy. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the orders are processed and the bills get paid. It’s just how things go for us here at the Malabar Hill office. We don't have any big corporate signs out front.
