Sonigara Metal

Sonigara Metal is located right near Sandhurst Road Station in the Chinwala Building here in Mumbai. If you know that area, you know it’s always moving and can be pretty loud with the trains passing by. Our space is filled with the smell of metal and the sound of things being moved around. It’s not a clean, white-walled office; it’s a place where work actually happens. We deal with various metal products and have stacks of inventory that we keep track of throughout the day. The building itself has some history to it, and our unit is just one part of the busy life around the station. We spend our time checking orders, talking to delivery drivers, and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s often dusty and we usually have grease on our hands by lunchtime. We don't have a PR person or a marketing department. If you want to know something, you just come in and ask us directly. We’re just a group of people who know our way around metal and have been doing this in Mumbai for years. It’s hard work and it’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. We don't use flowery language to describe what we sell. It’s just metal, and we try to get it to the people who need it without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been here a long time and the station noise has just become part of the background of our workday.
