Our small office is at G/4, Kapadia Nagar, right near BKC in Bandra West. Being so close to the big business hub is handy, but we’re a much smaller outfit than those glass towers. Sm Metals Pvt. Ltd. is basically where we manage our metal trading and distribution. The space is a bit tight, but we’ve made it work for ourselves over the years. There are always papers everywhere and the phone doesn't seem to stop ringing some days. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties every day. It’s more of a casual, get-it-done kind of atmosphere. We handle a lot of different types of metals and help people find what they need for their own businesses. Since we are in Bandra, it’s easy for people to drop in and talk to us. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a while and people know our faces. It gets a bit chaotic when we’re busy, but we usually find a way through the mess. We just want to do our work without a lot of fuss. It is a local business run by local people who understand how the metal market goes up and down. We just take it as it comes. It's a modest place but we are proud of the work we do.
