Sitaphal Factory Llp

We are Sitaphal Factory Llp and we operate out of the Captain Building over in the Fort area of Mumbai. It’s a bit of a trek to get up to the 11th floor, but once you’re there, you can really see the city moving. Being on Bhagat Singh Road means there is always noise and people everywhere. Most people know the Sher-E-Punjab restaurant nearby, so that’s usually how we tell people where to find us. We deal with sitaphal, or custard apples, which are such a specific fruit to work with. They have a short season and they’re delicate, so things get pretty hectic when the fruit starts coming in. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and a lot of talk about fruit quality and shipping. The building itself is old, like most things in Fort, and the lift can be a bit moody sometimes. We spend a lot of time on the phone with farmers and distributors. It's a messy business sometimes, dealing with fresh produce in the Mumbai heat, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just us trying to make sure the sitaphals get to where they need to go before they get too soft. It's a lot of long hours during the peak season but we actually enjoy the chaos and the fruit. It's just how we do things.
