Our business is located in Goregaon East, specifically in units C 206 and 207 at Tirupati Udyog on the 1st Main road. It’s an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and people working in the different units. We deal with steel, which means our space is full of heavy racks and metal inventory. It’s not the cleanest environment—there’s always a bit of metal dust and the floor is concrete—but it’s where the work happens. We have a small office section partitioned off where we handle the orders and talk to customers. Most of the time, though, someone is out on the floor checking the stock or helping with a load. We’ve been at this location for a good while. The guys who work here are local, and we all just put in our hours to make sure the deliveries go out when they’re supposed to. We don't have any marketing department or slick brochures. People find us because they need steel and they know we are here in Tirupati Udyog. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other days it’s a bit slower, giving us time to organize the yard. It’s a tough, physical business, but we don’t mind. We just focus on the task at hand and try to be straightforward with everyone who comes through the gate. It’s a practical setup for a practical trade. We stay busy and that’s what matters to us at the end of the day. It is just a normal work life here.
