Simplex Metal & Tubes

You can find us at 32-A, 4th Khetwadi Back Road, inside the Jai Maharashtra Building. If you know the metal markets in Mumbai, you know this area is always packed. There are trucks loading and unloading pipes and tubes at all hours. Our space is tucked away in this old building, and it’s usually quite dark inside until we turn all the lights on. We deal in steel and various types of metal tubes, so there’s always the sound of metal clanging against metal. It’s a very busy street, and sometimes it takes twenty minutes just to move a car a few meters. We’ve got stacks of inventory everywhere, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to even sit down and have a glass of water. Simplex Metal & Tubes has been part of this neighborhood for a while, and we’ve seen the buildings around us get older and the traffic get worse. We don't have any corporate branding or fancy receptionists. It’s just a few of us and a lot of steel. The walls are a bit stained from the monsoon rains, and the desk is cluttered with old registers and delivery slips. We work hard, we talk loud because of the noise outside, and we try to get the orders out on time. It’s just the way things are in Khetwadi, and we wouldn’t really know what to do with ourselves in a quiet, modern office.
