Shrikhande Consultant P. Ltd is based in Kandivali West, right on M.G. Road at Champa Vihar. Being in Mumbai, we are very used to the sound of the local trains and the constant hum of people walking past our building. Our office is on the second floor, 2-B, and it is a place where we spend a lot of time hunched over drawings and reports. The stairs can be a bit steep if you are carrying heavy bags, but we are used to it by now. We have several desks squeezed into the rooms to make space for everyone. It gets quite cramped when we have a full team in, but it also makes it easy to just lean over and ask someone a question. The windows look out toward the street, so we see the rain coming down hard during the monsoon months. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, and that is usually the busiest spot in the morning. People come in from all over the city, so everyone has a different story about their commute on the Western Line. We don't have much in the way of fancy decor, just some maps on the walls and plenty of bookshelves filled with old project files. It is a working office where things actually get done, even if it feels a bit cluttered sometimes. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our desks.
