Shreenath Steel

Our shop, Shreenath Steel, is located over at 30/32 Carnac Siding Road. It is right near Sakar Masjid, so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. The Giriraj Building is also very close by, which makes it easier for people to find us if they are not from around here. Being on Carnac Siding Road means there are always big trucks and tempos moving about, carrying all sorts of heavy goods. It can be a bit of a struggle with the parking and the narrow spaces, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days handling steel and making sure everything is where it should be. The office part is just a small corner with a desk and some old chairs. It is not a place with air conditioning or glass partitions. It is more of a practical space where work actually happens. We mostly deal with people who are looking for specific steel materials for their own projects. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the doors open and keep working. Sometimes neighbors from the Giriraj Building stop by to chat for a minute. We have been here long enough that the sounds of the street just feel like background noise now. We just focus on getting the steel out to whoever needs it and closing up when the sun goes down in the evening.
