Shreeji Metal Works

Shreeji Metal Works is over in the Tejpal Industrial Estate. We are in Building A, Unit 101-A. Being near Sakinaka on the Andheri Kurla Road means it’s always loud outside. The traffic is constant, and you can hear the horns honking all day long. Inside our unit, it’s even louder because of the metal work. We do a lot of cutting and shaping of metal sheets. The floor is usually covered in small scraps and shavings. We try to sweep up, but it just piles back up again by noon. It’s hot work, especially when the machines have been running for hours. We don't have a fancy lobby or any place for visitors to sit comfortably. It's a workshop, through and through. The guys here have tough hands and they know how to handle the tools. We’ve been in this estate for a good while now. We know the other shop owners nearby. Sometimes we borrow a tool or help each other out with a heavy load. It’s a community of makers. We don't put on any acts here. If you come by, you’ll see us in our aprons, probably sweating and focused on a piece of steel. That's just how we operate at Shreeji Metal Works. We just keep our heads down and finish the job that’s in front of us. No more, no less.
