Shree Vandana Metal

Shree Vandana Metal is located at Plot No.6 in the Kumbharwada area. We are right on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road, not too far from the Gol Deval Temple. It’s a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and always packed with people and carts. Our shop is tucked in among a lot of other metal businesses. We handle different kinds of metal pieces, mostly brass or copper, depending on what the suppliers send over. The space is quite small, so we are always moving boxes around to find what a customer is looking for. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, especially with the sun hitting the front of the building. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. You can usually hear the sound of metal clanging against metal from down the street. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the temple nearby. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in traffic and things show up late, which is frustrating for everyone. We just sit at the small desk and wait for the next person to walk in. It is a simple life running a metal shop here. We keep the ledger books on a shelf and try to keep track of everything going in and out. It’s a bit dusty and cramped, but it’s home for us.
