Our office is in Vyapvar Bhavan, room 519, over on P. D. Mello Road. Carnac Bunder is a really hectic area with all the docks and traffic nearby. Shree Vaishnav Ispat Pvt. Ltd. has been here for some time now. It’s a typical old-school office building with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways. We spend our days mostly on the phone or dealing with transport guys. It’s a lot of coordination to get everything where it needs to go. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maps. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is usually the highlight for us. We handle a lot of paperwork because the steel business involves many documents. It’s not a glamorous job. We deal with delays and logistics problems almost every day. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a dedicated group of people in a small office. We try to be helpful when someone calls, but we don't have a scripted way of talking. We just speak like normal people. The noise from the road outside never really stops, but we’ve grown used to it. We just keep moving forward, handling one task at a time. It’s about staying on top of the details and making sure the numbers add up. It’s a steady pace most days.
