Shree Shyam Trading Co.

We are based in Malad East, right on Rani Sati Road at Subhlaxmi Court. It is a very busy part of Mumbai, and our office is on the first floor, at No.1-A. Shree Shyam Trading Co. isn't a big factory or a dusty yard; we are more about the trading side of the building business. It is a small space, usually filled with stacks of papers and the constant sound of the traffic outside the window. I spend most of my day on the phone or talking to people who drop by the office to discuss their orders. It is a lot of coordinating between the sources and the people who actually need the materials on site. We don't have a fancy corporate lobby or a bunch of secretaries answering phones. It is just me and a couple of others keeping track of everything in our ledger. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, and it gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that keeps the air moving. We have been in Malad for quite a while now and have seen all the new buildings go up around us. It is a fast-paced environment, but we try to keep things grounded and simple. We don't use a lot of marketing talk because we find that being direct with people works much better. People know where we are if they need to check on an order.
