Shree Raj Steels

You can find us at 90 Kumbharwada, which is right in the thick of things near Crawford Market. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s a maze of shops and heavy lifting. Shree Raj Steels is basically a shop filled with metal. We’ve got stacks of different steel products crammed into the space. It’s often quite hot and loud because of all the activity outside on the street. We deal with a lot of small contractors and builders who need a few pieces of this or that. There’s no lobby or waiting area here; you just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and writing down figures on scraps of paper. The walls are stained with years of dust, and the floor is scarred from dragging heavy pipes across it. We don’t really have a lunch break; we just eat when there’s a gap in the customers. It’s the kind of place where your hands get dirty within five minutes of arriving. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers on the block, and we usually trade favors or borrow tools from each other. It’s just a basic steel shop doing basic work day in and day out. We don't bother with anything fancy. We just keep our stock ready for whoever stops by.
