If you’re looking for us, we’re up on the 4th floor of Arihant Mansion. The address is 29 Keshvji Nayak Road. It’s a climb if the elevator is out, which happens more often than we’d like. Keshvji Nayak Road is one of those streets that’s always packed with people and carts moving steel and other heavy goods. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street level, but you can still feel the energy of the market down there. Our office is pretty basic. We’ve got a few desks, some sturdy chairs, and a lot of steel samples lying around. The floors are concrete and the walls are filled with calendars and old notes taped up. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or art. We’re here to handle the steel business and that’s about it. Most of the day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by the mansion. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, so the fans are always going full speed. We know most of the other people in the building. It’s a community of small businesses all trying to get through the day. We’ve been at this spot for years and we know every creak in the floorboards. It’s just how we work. We don't have a mission statement, just a bunch of files and some steel.
