Shree Laxmi Steel Industries

We are up on the third floor of 48/50 C.P. Tank Road. It’s a busy building in a busy part of town. Shree Laxmi Steel Industries is mostly about coordinating orders and managing the steel supply. We don't have the big heavy machinery right here in the office; it’s more of a place where the business happens. Getting up to the third floor keeps us moving. We deal with various types of steel and help customers figure out what they need for their construction or manufacturing jobs. The office is a bit old-fashioned. We have wooden desks and a lot of paper stacks. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. We’ve been around C.P. Tank for quite some time now. The area is known for this kind of trade, so we fit right in. We spend a lot of time on the telephone, checking prices and availability. It’s a lot of back-and-forth work. We don't really do any advertising. People find us because their fathers or grandfathers bought from us. We try to be fair and just get the work done. There’s always the sound of traffic coming through the windows. It’s a practical workspace for a practical business. We keep our overhead low and our focus on the steel. That’s just the way we’ve always operated here, and it seems to work out for everyone involved in the end.
