We’ve been here at 6 Khetwadi for a while now. Dealing with steel is just what we do every day. It’s a busy spot in the neighborhood and things can get a bit hectic sometimes, but we manage. People come in looking for different types of steel pieces and we try to find what fits. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep the stock and talk to customers. We have racks of different metals that sometimes get a bit disorganized when we are busy. Sometimes the orders are small, like a single piece for a repair, and sometimes they are bigger for a local building project. It doesn't really matter to us. We just keep the doors open and get to work every morning. Dealing with metal means getting your hands dirty and moving heavy stuff around. It's just how it is. We know the regular faces around Khetwadi pretty well by now. You'll see us unloading trucks or checking the inventory list on most mornings. It is honest work and it keeps us active. The weather gets really hot in the shop during the summer months, but we are used to it. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the stacks of steel and the tools we need to cut things down to size. If someone needs a specific thickness, we look through the back to see if it’s there in the pile. It’s a simple setup. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but we’re still right here at number 6. It’s just us doing our thing with the steel every day.
