Shree Impex Steel

Shree Impex Steel is located at Ganesh Darshan, specifically Shop No. 2 on the 9th Khetwadi Lane. If you’ve ever been to Khetwadi, you know the lanes are narrow and always full of people and carts. It’s a tight squeeze to get anything big in or out, but we’ve gotten pretty good at it over the years. We deal with steel, so everything in here is heavy and takes a bit of muscle to move around. The shop is on the ground floor of the Ganesh Darshan building, which makes it easier for loading, but we still have to be careful not to block the whole lane. It’s a noisy place with the sound of metal clanging together, and we’re usually covered in a bit of soot by the end of the day. We don’t really have a big showroom. It’s mostly just stacks of steel pipes and sheets leaning against the walls. My family has been doing this for a while, and we just know the business of steel inside and out. We don’t go in for fancy advertisements or anything. Most people find us because they’re already in Khetwadi looking for materials for their projects. The 9th lane is always busy, and sometimes the rain makes the whole place a bit of a mess, but we keep the shop open regardless. It’s hard work, but there’s something nice about seeing the raw metal go out to be used for building something new in the city.
