Shree Durga Steel Work

We operate out of Gala Number 4 in Goregaon East, though we deal with a lot of people from Dahisar too. It’s an industrial space, so expect some noise when you visit. We do all types of steel fabrication and repair work here. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal and the smell of welding is always in the air. We aren't a big factory, just a small unit where we take on one job at a time. Whether it’s a gate that needs fixing or some structural frames for a new building, we handle it. I’ve been working with steel since I was a teenager. It’s hard on the hands but it’s good to see a finished product at the end of the day. Our neighbors in the other galas are mostly doing similar work, so we help each other out with tools sometimes. The address can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't used to the layout of these industrial estates, but once you see the sparks from the welder, you’ll know you’re in the right place. We don’t have a secretary or a fancy waiting room. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't holding a torch. We work through the heat and the rain. It’s just about getting the steel cut and joined correctly. It’s a simple life, focused on making things that last. We’re just regular people doing a tough job.
