Shree Datta Metal Industries

Our workshop is located at the Govt. Industrial Estate, 36-C, in Charkop, Kandivali West. It’s a pretty standard industrial unit where we do a lot of metal work every day. The place is usually quite loud because of the machines running and the hammers hitting the metal. We don’t have a lot of space for anything other than the equipment and the raw materials we use. Most of the guys here have been working with metal for a long time, so they know exactly what they’re doing. The floor is often covered in small metal shavings, and we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the shift. It’s a hardworking environment, and we don’t really bother with making the place look pretty. It’s more about function here. We have a small desk where we keep the files and handle the phone calls, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. Charkop is a busy area, and the industrial estate is always full of people moving things around. We usually start our day pretty early to get a head start on the tasks. It gets warm inside, especially when all the machines are going at once, but we’re used to it by now. We just focus on getting the metal pieces ready and making sure they are moved out on time. It’s a simple, straightforward operation we’ve got going here. The neighbors are doing the same thing, so we all get along. It's just our life.
