Shivang Ispat Pvt Ltd is located in Room No 112 of the Bharat Chamber. We are right in the heart of the Masjid area, which is where all the iron and steel trading happens in Mumbai. Our office is opposite P D Mal Road, also known as P D Mello Road. It is a very gritty and industrial part of town. Bharat Chamber is an old building with high ceilings and heavy doors. Inside Room 112, we have our desks and some old wooden cupboards for the files. Steel trading is a tough business and the environment around here reflects that. There are laborers carrying heavy loads and trucks blocking the narrow streets all day long. It’s very hot and dusty, and the noise from the traffic is constant. We deal with various iron and steel products, mostly over the phone or with people who walk in from the nearby markets. We don't have air conditioning that works very well, so we mostly rely on big ceiling fans. Lunch is often a tiffin from home, eaten quickly while we talk about market prices. It’s not a fancy life, and the office isn't decorated with anything other than calendars and old photos. We’ve been part of this market for a long time and we know how the system works here. We just focus on our orders and getting things loaded correctly.
