Shekhar Auto Works

Shekhar Auto Works is located down in the Gala Compound on Dumping Road. If you are coming from Mulund West or heading toward Kowdena Halli near the Kalkere Main area, you’ll probably see the Municipality Godown first. We are tucked in near that. It’s a workshop, so expect some grease and the sound of tools clanking. We spend most of our day under hoods or fixing parts that have seen better days. The floor is usually a bit messy because work is always happening. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. Usually, people just drop off their vehicles and we call them when the job is done. It’s hot in the summer and the rain sometimes leaks a bit near the back door, but the work gets done regardless. We’ve been fixing cars and bikes here for quite some time now. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, where everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. We don't do much advertising; most people just hear about us from their neighbors or friends who had their brakes or engines sorted here. The traffic on Dumping Road can get pretty backed up, so it takes a bit of patience to get to us sometimes. We just focus on the machines and making sure things run like they should. It's dusty, loud, and honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days. It is a simple life for us here in the compound.
