Shaw Wallace Distilleries Limited

Shaw Wallace Distilleries Limited is situated on the 2nd Floor of the Bob building at 3 Walchand Hirachand Marg, right in the Ballard Estate area. This part of town has a lot of history and the buildings have that old, solid look to them. Our office has those high ceilings and big windows you find in Ballard Estate, which is nice when the sun comes through. We’ve been operating from this floor for a long time now. It’s a busy place with people coming in and out, but we try to keep a steady pace. The distillery business has its own set of challenges, and we handle the administrative side of things from here. It isn't a flashy, modern office with glass walls; it’s more traditional and functional. We spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with the logistics of moving products around. Ballard Estate is a great place to work because everything is close by, though finding parking can be a real headache sometimes. We don't really do the whole corporate branding thing in our day-to-day talk. We just focus on the numbers and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know how the system works. It’s a practical environment where we just get the job done and try to stay on top of the workload. There is always a stack of ledgers that needs looking at and someone usually brings in snacks.
