Shanti Steel Corporation

We’ve been here at 28, V.P. Road for quite some time now. If you know Ladwadi, you know how busy it gets around C.P. Tank. Shanti Steel Corporation isn't some big fancy corporation with a glass building. It’s just us here, working with steel every day. The office is small and usually has papers piled up on the desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out back checking the stock. Most of the people around here know where we are. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but that’s just life in this part of town. We handle a lot of different steel items. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting into the lane because it’s so narrow. You learn to deal with it though. We start early and stay until the work is done. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. My father started things off and we just kept it going. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us or hear about us from someone else. It's more about the relationships we've built over the years with the other shops in the area. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking a delivery or talking to a regular who just stopped by to say hello.
