We are over at V P Road, right in the industrial area at A 102. If you are looking for Shankar Metals, just stay on the ground floor. It makes things easier since metal is heavy and nobody wants to be hauling that stuff up and down stairs all day long. The area is pretty busy with all the other industrial shops around, so there is always some noise of trucks or machines going. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. It’s a straightforward shop. We keep the inventory on the floor and try to keep it organized, though with metal pieces everywhere, it gets a bit messy by the afternoon. People come in from the surrounding streets looking for specific bits and pieces. We don't have a big reception or anything. Just the workbench and the materials. The ground floor unit is basic, with white walls that aren't so white anymore because of the metal dust. It’s just how it is in an industrial zone. We spend most of our time moving things around or checking what we have left in the back. It’s not a glamorous place but it’s where we do our business every day. If you find the A 102 sign on V P Road, you’ve found us. We just sit here, handle the metal, and talk to the regulars who know we’re always around during the usual hours. It is just a plain, hardworking workshop.
