Shankar Brazing Works

If you go down to Ghatkopar West and head into the Hill View Industrial Estate, that’s where you’ll find us. We are at number 16 in Amrut Nagar. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not the cleanest place to work, but it suits what we do. Brazing is what we know. We spend most of our hours with torches and metal pieces. The air usually smells like heat and flux. It is a lot of hard work and your hands get dirty pretty fast. We’ve been at this location for a while and have seen the estate change quite a bit. People bring in all sorts of metal parts that need joining. Sometimes it’s a quick job and other times it takes all afternoon to get it right. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist. You just walk into the workspace and talk to whoever is free. Most of the time we are busy at the benches. The tools are old but they still work fine for us. Ghatkopar is a busy hub and being in the industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops too. It gets loud with all the machinery running nearby. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get things done. It’s straightforward work for people who need metal parts handled properly. We don't put on a show; we just do the brazing and hope the customer is satisfied with the strength of the joint.
