Working out of Nandbhavan Industrial Estate in Andheri East means dealing with a lot of noise and movement every single day. Our office is in B-50, and it’s usually packed with files and stacks of papers that we haven’t gotten around to filing away yet. We’ve been here for years, through the times when Mahakali Caves Road was much quieter than it is now. These days, the traffic is a headache for everyone, but we’re centrally located so people can find us easily enough. It’s a small team here. We mostly spend our time looking at spreadsheets or talking on the phone with clients who have been coming to us for a long time. The lighting in the office isn't the best, and the tea guy from downstairs comes up twice a day which is the highlight for most of us. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm with glass walls and expensive furniture. We just have our desks, our computers, and a lot of work to get through. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we all just sit around talking until it comes back on. It’s a regular office life with all the usual frustrations and small wins. We know most of the other business owners in the building. It feels like a little community even if we’re all busy doing our own things and trying to stay ahead of the deadlines.
