Shamim Ladies Bag

Our shop is located right opposite Bilal Masjid on the 1st Main Road in the 3rd Block of Ayyappa Nagar. It is a busy spot, especially when prayers are finishing at the Masjid. We deal with ladies' bags here. The walls are covered in different styles and sizes of bags. We have everything from small purses to larger ones for daily use. The shop is small, so we have to use every bit of space, even hanging things from the ceiling. Ayyappa Nagar is a lively neighborhood. There are always people walking past the door. Most of our day is spent showing bags to people or fixing zippers that get stuck. It can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. The floor is just simple tile and we have a small counter where we count the cash. We have been here in Mumbai Central for a good while. You get to know the regulars who walk by every morning. It is a lot of standing and talking. Sometimes the street noise is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have fancy displays, just the bags on the shelves. It is a simple way to make a living. We open early and stay open until the street goes quiet at night. We just keep the shop running like this.
