Shakti Tube India

Our place is in the Ganesh Darshan Building, over in the A Wing near Charni Road. We are situated on Panchkula Road, which is a busy stretch, especially with Alankar Cinema right there. If you're looking for us, that's usually the best way to find the building. Shakti Tube India handles a lot of metal and industrial tubes, so the shop often has that metallic smell and the sound of pipes clanking together. It's a heavy-duty kind of environment. We don't have a showroom with carpets or anything like that. It’s mostly concrete floors and racks filled with different sizes and grades of tubing. My hands are usually a bit greasy by the end of the day from handling the stock. We get a lot of contractors and builders coming through who know exactly what they need for their projects. Sometimes they bring in drawings or just tell us the measurements they are looking for. It gets quite loud when we have to move things around or if there’s a lot of traffic outside on the road. The building itself is an older one, but it’s sturdy, which is good for the weight of what we store here. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the right pieces go out to the right people. It's not a complicated setup, just a lot of inventory and a lot of lifting. We’ve been at this for a while and the routine stays pretty much the same every day. (260 words)
