Shakti Steels

You can find us over at 31/A in the Siddhpura Industrial Estate. Goregaon West is a busy area, especially with all the new buildings coming up, but this estate feels like it has stayed the same for decades. At Shakti Steels, we spend most of our time dealing with heavy metal sheets and rods. The sound of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after a week of working here. Our space is tucked away in a corner of the estate, so it can be a bit tricky for new drivers to find us the first time. We’ve got a small crew of guys who have been with us since the beginning. They know exactly where everything is stored in the racks. It gets pretty warm inside during the summer months, but we have those big industrial fans that help a little bit. We don’t really have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our day is just spent taking measurements and making sure the orders are ready for the morning pickups. The lanes in the industrial estate are quite narrow, so things can get a bit jammed when two lorries try to pass each other. We usually have lunch together in the small clearing out front if the weather is okay. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been our home for a long time now.
