Shakti Steel

Shakti Steel is located at 41519 C.P.Tank on Worli Road, right near Dr E Moses Road. It is a very busy part of the city to be in, that’s for sure. We handle a lot of steel rods, sheets, and pipes every day. The noise of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after the first week. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks that pull up right outside on the street. It is heavy work and our hands are usually covered in grease or rust by the time lunch rolls around. The office part is just a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs where we talk to the contractors. We don't have any shiny brochures or a big sales team. Usually, people just come to us because they need a specific type of steel for a building project nearby. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the building itself is quite old. You have to be careful where you step sometimes. The weather in Worli can be pretty humid which doesn't help with the metal, so we stay busy moving things around to keep them in good shape. It isn't a glamorous job but it is important work for all the construction going on around here. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the weight is correct on the scale.
