Shakti Parmar & Associates

Our office is located at 21/21 in the Laxminarayan Building. If you know the Tejpal Road area in Gowalia Tank, you know it can get pretty busy around here. Shakti Parmar & Associates has been operating out of this spot for a good amount of time. It’s an old building, the kind with thick walls and a bit of history in the bricks. We are in the Mumbai-007 zip code, which sounds more exciting than it actually is when you are just sitting at a desk dealing with numbers or documents. The stairs up to the office can be a bit of a climb if you aren't used to them. We keep the place fairly organized, though there's always that one corner with old ledgers that nobody wants to touch. The windows look out toward the street, and you can hear the horns honking throughout the day. It’s the background noise of our lives. We don't have a big reception area or a coffee machine that does anything special. Usually, we just send someone down to the corner stall for cutting chai when we need a break. We handle things as they come. There is no corporate manual here; we just know who does what and we get on with it. It’s a practical way to run a business in this part of Mumbai. Most of our day is spent right here at these desks with our files and our phones.
