Shaheen Industries

We are located at D-103 in the Dhiraj Ganga building. It is right on Chincholi Road in Malad West. This part of Mumbai is always moving and there is never a quiet moment. If you walk down the street, you’ll see plenty of other small businesses and shops just like ours. Our space is tucked inside the building on the ground floor area. It’s not a massive factory, just where we handle the day-to-day stuff for Shaheen Industries. Usually, we have a small radio playing in the background while we sort through the orders and paperwork. The traffic outside can be quite loud, especially during the monsoon when the rain hits the roof and everyone is honking their horns. We have lived and worked around this area for many years, so we know all the shortcuts to avoid the main road jams. The office itself has a few cupboards full of old records and a couple of mismatched chairs for when someone drops by. It’s a simple setup. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or bright lights. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking the stock we have in the back. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking on Chincholi Road because it’s so narrow, so we have to run down and help them navigate. It keeps us on our toes and out of our chairs. We share the floor with some families, so it feels like a neighborhood.
