Shah Assam Tea Company

We are set up in Shop No. C/5 at the Sumit Samarth Arcade. It’s right on Aarey Road in Goregaon West. If you’ve ever been stuck in Mumbai traffic, you’ve probably passed by us without even realizing it. Goregaon is a hectic place, and Aarey Road is one of those spots that’s always moving. At Shah Assam Tea Company, we keep things pretty basic. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the tea boxes. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a new shipment comes in from Assam. We don't have a big corporate headquarters or a fancy lobby with a receptionist. When you walk in, you’re likely to see one of us sitting at a small desk surrounded by samples and ledgers. We write things down by hand quite a bit. The arcade is a busy place with all sorts of other shops around us, so there is always a bit of chatter and noise coming from the hallway. We aren't into using big corporate words to describe what we do. We just sell tea to people who want it. We’ve been doing this for long enough that we don’t need a manual to tell us how to work. Some days the humidity makes the tea bags feel heavy, and we just keep the fan pointing right at us. It's just a regular Mumbai business life.
