Shabbir Bus Service

Shabbir Bus Service is run out of Flat No 6/149 in Wing B of the Purkit building. Our location is a bit interesting because it sits right between Andheri West and Goregaon West. We are also quite close to the Cosmo Politan Junior College, so there are always students walking around the area during the day. Since we operate from a flat, it’s a very casual environment. We have our ledgers and some old bus schedules piled up on the desks. Dealing with buses means we are often dealing with breakdowns or traffic delays, so the phone is always ringing. We don't have a big fancy garage on site; this is just where we handle the administrative side of things and talk to the drivers. The Purkit building is a busy residential spot, so we try to keep the noise down so we don't bother the neighbors too much. It is a family-style operation where everyone chips in. Sometimes we are here late at night making sure the morning routes are all set. It is a lot of logistics and hoping the engines hold up. We know the routes through Andheri and Goregaon very well because we’ve been doing this for years. It’s not a glamorous job, but people need to get where they are going. We just keep our heads down and try to keep the buses running on time as much as the traffic allows.
