Semtech (India)

Semtech (India) is located at 50 Sahakar Niwas on Tardeo Road. It’s an older building that has a lot of character, even if the plumbing is a bit temperamental once in a while. Being at number 50 means we’re right in the thick of things in Mumbai. Tardeo Road is always moving, and you can hear the horns honking from the street all day long. Our office isn't very large. It feels more like a lived-in space than a sterile corporate environment. We have some plants by the window that struggle a bit because of the city dust, but we try to keep them alive. The desks are pushed close together because space is tight, but it makes it easier to talk to each other without having to get up. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or big signs. People who need to find us usually know exactly where we are located. It’s a very local feel here. We know the security guard at the gate and the person who sells snacks just down the street. Working at Sahakar Niwas feels like being part of a big, messy family sometimes. We have our little routines, like who makes the first round of tea and who has to answer the phone when it rings during lunch. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way every day. It’s honest work in a very busy part of town, and for us, that is more than enough to keep us going.
