Sec Machines

We are based at 97 Morland Road, inside the Batliwala Compound over in Marine Lines. It’s an industrial sort of place, which fits because we deal with machines all day. There is usually a smell of oil and metal in the air, and the floors are concrete because they have to be. We spend our time looking at parts, fixing things, or showing people how a specific piece of equipment operates. It’s loud sometimes, especially when we’re testing something out. The compound is an old spot, and we’ve fit right into the rhythm of the other businesses around us. We don’t have a glossy catalog or a sales team. If someone needs a machine or a part, they come down to the shop and we talk about it over a cup of tea or just standing by the workbench. We wear work clothes that usually end up with a few grease stains by the end of the shift. Marine Lines is a busy area, but once you get into the compound, it’s all about the mechanical work. We don't make big promises. We just look at what needs to be fixed or supplied and we do it. The tools we use are old but they work well. It’s a practical, hands-on life here. We just keep the gears turning and make sure the orders get filled correctly.
