Sci-Tech Books & Periodicales

Our shop is at 106, Parul Apartments, which is located on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We mostly deal with scientific and technical books and various periodicals. The space is pretty much filled with stacks of paper and rows of bookshelves from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a new shipment in. We spend our time sorting through journals and making sure people get the specific issues they are looking for. It’s a lot of cataloging and checking lists. We don’t have a big flashy storefront; it’s more of a quiet spot inside the apartment complex where we can focus on the books. The traffic on Veera Desai Road can be quite loud, but once you’re inside with all the paper, it feels a bit more secluded. We have regular visitors who come looking for specialized reading material that you can't find in a normal bookstore. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the old paper, but that's just how it is with books. We’ve been here in Andheri for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We just keep doing what we do, which is handling the technical literature and making sure the subscriptions are up to date for everyone who relies on us.
