Sayani Metal Works

Sayani Metal Works is right here in Malad West. We’ve been at Shripal Service Indl. Estate for a good while now. Unit number 13, to be exact. If you know where Pawan Baug is, we are just a short walk from there, tucked away near Chincholi Phatak X Road. It’s an industrial area, so it gets a bit noisy during the day with all the machines running. The estate has seen many changes over the years. Some people find the navigation a bit tricky the first time they come by because of the way the roads curve around Malad, but once you find the X road, it's easy. We spend most of our mornings getting the shutters up and checking the list for the day. There is a lot of metal lying around, and the smell of the workshop is something you just get used to after a week. The tea stall around the corner is where most of the guys head during the afternoon break. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every corner, just a practical space where we get the work done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the machines are what matter most to us. We’ve known the neighbors in the estate for years, and we all sort of look out for each other when deliveries arrive or when the rain gets heavy in July. It’s just how things are here at Sayani Metal Works.
