Saurashtra Metal Depot

You can find Saurashtra Metal Depot over at 20, Nandlal House on 1St Carpenter Street. This part of the city is really old and the streets are quite narrow, so it can be a bit of a challenge to get here if you aren't used to it. Nandlal House has a lot of character, though it’s definitely showing its age these days. Our space inside is packed tight with stock. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and we know almost everyone on Carpenter Street. It’s a tight-knit community of traders and shopkeepers. At Saurashtra Metal Depot, we don't go in for fancy displays or advertising campaigns. We just keep our stock organized as best as we can in the limited space we have. The workday usually starts with opening up the shutters and seeing what the day brings. It’s often dusty and loud with the sounds of the street right outside the door, but we like the energy of the market. We don't have a big corporate board or a mission statement on the wall. We just have our ledgers and our customers who have been coming to us for years. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit and have lunch. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We’re just regular people running a depot in an old building. The coffee shop around the corner keeps us going on the long afternoons.
