Satyapur Steel

Satyapur Steel is located at 119/121 C.P. Tank. We are right in the neighborhood of the Madhav Baug Mandir. This is an area of Mumbai that is famous for its narrow lanes and old businesses. Our shop is full of steel bars, sheets, and various metal items. It’s not the kind of place where you want to wear nice clothes because there is always some dust or rust around. We have been operating from this spot for many years. The building is old and the wooden beams are still there. Every day we get deliveries and we have to move the heavy stock around. It’s hard physical work and the heat in C.P. Tank can be quite intense in the afternoons. We have a small counter where we talk to customers and write out the bills by hand. There is a lot of noise from the street, with bells from the temple and the sound of horns. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We aren't a big modern showroom with air conditioning and fancy lights. We are a traditional steel business. We just try to get the orders right and make sure the trucks can get in and out of the lane without getting stuck. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. We open early and stay until the sun goes down and the markets finally close.
