If you come down to Sakinaka, you will find us at number 65. Saraswati Steel Works has been in this area for a long time. It is a noisy place because there is always some cutting or welding going on. We work with all kinds of steel, making gates, grills, and frames for windows. The floor is usually covered in metal scraps and the smell of iron is everywhere. It is hard work, especially in the summer when the heat from the torches makes the shop very hot. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to bend the metal to get the right shape without wasting material. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor who had a gate made here recently. Sakinaka is always crowded, so getting materials delivered can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We just deal with it as it comes. We take our measurements carefully because mistakes cost money and time that we don't have. Our tools are old but they still work perfectly fine for what we do. We don't do mass production; we just take one job at a time and finish it properly before moving on. It is a simple business based on sweat and heavy lifting. We like the results when a finished piece finally leaves the shop on a truck.
