Our shop is number 11 in the Akbar Ali Compound over in Jogeshwari West. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but we’ve been here long enough that we know where everything is kept. We sell all sorts of things like screws, hammers, pipes, and different kinds of tools you might need for fixing up a house. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling, so sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact size of something you are looking for. Most of our customers are local builders or guys just trying to fix a leaky tap at home. We open up early in the morning because that’s when the workers want to pick up their supplies before starting their jobs. It gets pretty dusty with all the metal and wood stuff around, but that’s just how a hardware store is. We don't have a fancy display or anything. It's just shelves and boxes everywhere. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s slow and talk to the neighbors. Jogeshwari is a loud place, always something going on in the streets. If you need a specific bolt or a certain type of paint, we probably have it buried somewhere in the back. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s a straightforward business, no need for anything complicated. Just selling people the stuff they need to build things and fix their homes.
