Patel Sales

We are right at Masjid Bunder West 1. Being right at the start of the area makes it easy for some people to find us, but the traffic is still a total nightmare. Patel Sales is a very straightforward trading business. We have been here for a long time, watching the whole market change around us. The building is quite old and it has that specific smell of dust and old wood. We deal in various goods, mostly things that people need for their shops or small factories. It is a lot of paperwork and taking phone calls all day. We do not have a big team of people. It is just us and a couple of boys to help with the heavy loading. The street outside is always blocked with trucks and tempos. You really have to be a patient person to work in this area. We spend our mornings checking the arrivals and the afternoons dealing with the customers. It is not a glamorous job. We have tea from the small stall nearby twice a day. That is just our daily routine. We do not use any fancy management techniques here. We just keep track of what comes in and what goes out. People know us because we have been in this spot for decades. We do not go around shouting about our work. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. It is a basic way of living.
