Himatlal Company

If you go to Doli Chambers on Strand Road in Colaba and head up to the 6th floor, that’s where you’ll find Himatlal Company. It’s an old building and the elevator can be a bit slow or cranky sometimes, so you might end up waiting a minute or just taking the stairs if you're feeling fit. Our office isn’t much to look at, just some old desks and a lot of paperwork piled up in various folders. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite a long time now. Colaba is a busy part of town, so there’s always noise coming up from the street, but we’ve gotten used to the honking and the crowds. We handle a variety of things here, mostly coordinating orders and keeping track of the accounts for our clients. It’s the kind of place where everyone has their own spot and we just get through the daily tasks. We don’t have any fancy views despite being on the 6th floor, mostly just other buildings and the street below. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused throughout the afternoon slump. It’s a small team and we’ve all known each other for years, so we get along fine. We aren't trying to do anything groundbreaking, just keeping the business running and making sure everything is in order. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we manage.
